Products you will need for Your Enema

What you will need:
- A comfortable area that can allow for cleanup if an accident happens to occur. Your bed
with a couple of folded bath towels would be all right. A cold bathtub isn't all that
great in the winter time, but might work in warmer times.
- An enema bag (a disposable one would be good for your first time or you might want to
buy a reusable one because they are only a few dollars more) with a clamp,tubing and
nozzles.
- A thermometer for water temperature is a must. Water temperature should never be over
115°Fahrenheit. Anything above this temperature can burn or damage the intestinal lining.
- Lubricant (KY Jelly or Astroglide are both good and condom safe {Vaseline}
- Water (filtered drinking water)
- A toilet nearby
- Something to hang the enema bag from.
Other possible Items:
- Latex Rubber Gloves Non-Latex Gloves
- Enema Bag or something to give the enema.
- Vaseline or some other lubricant
- Enema Additives (as you become more familiar with the procedure).
- Candles can help create a relaxing atmosphere.
- A partner/friend can make it easier, especially one that is respectful and
understanding.
- Bleach and bacterial soap to clean the enema equipment after you are finished.

Warning: Do not use enemas
or laxatives if abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting are present unless directed by your
health care provider.
Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative or enema may
indicate a serious condition.
Discontinue use and consult your health care provider.
