Taking or giving an enema
is a relative easy procedure to perform.
You should never feel embarrassed or humiliated about using or needing an enema.
But most people are! ! !
- You need an Enema Bag or something to use for
administering the enema.
( You can purchase one at your drugstore or this excellent resource
for enema equipment and colon cleansing supplies. )
- A Warm comfortable place to receive your enema.
(a) Fill syringe with warm filtered water (103° f.)
(b) Hang bag 18 to 24 inches above rectum.
(c) Open clamp and allow air to escape tubing before inserting nozzle into the rectum.
(d) Lubricate nozzle w/ (Super
Salve Surgilube
Vaseline 13oz. Astroglide KY Warming Liquid Lubricant)

- Get into the position comfortable for you and insert the nozzle into the anus , open tubing clamp. Allow water to slowly fill
the colon, If you start to feel full or begin to cramp, slow or stop water flow for a
few seconds. During these times you can massage the abdomen during the administration of
the enema this will allow more solution to be taken comfortably. When the feeling subsides
begin flow again.
Massage:When receiving the enema:
Massage abdomen in a counter-clockwise direction this will help move the solution higher
into the colon.

Massaging the abdomen during the administration of an enema will help the recipient accept
more of the enema solution.
If possible you should take the entire bag, stopping and starting the water flow as
needed. After you have taken as much as possible, you need to hold the enema for a few
minutes to allow the solution to work.
( 5 to 10 minutes is usually enough achieve decent results ) If you feel you have not
completely clean the entire colon. You can repeat the enema process, several
times, if necessary to achieve the clean colon. .
- When the time is up move to the toilet and release the enema.
Massage:When expelling the enema:
Massage abdomen in a clockwise direction this will help move the solution back toward the
rectum and anus.

After you expel the Enema you feel clean, fresh and invigorated.
