
| The Proctel tip rectal tube is a very small simi-flexible tube that
inserts into the anus. It is approximately 3/16 of an inch in diameter. You will need to
set the distance the Proctel tip is inserted into the rectum when in position on the board
to avoid puncturing the intestinal lining. For safety reasons this tip should only be inserted 2 to 4 in. inside the rectum. Sense this tip is about 12 inches long to begin with. You might need to trim some of the length to achieve the right length for insertion . |

Warning: Do not use enemas
or laxatives if abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting are present unless directed by your
health care provider.
Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative or enema may
indicate a serious condition.
